About Simulark / Groningen, Netherlands

The human side
of a system.

We are a small team based in Groningen, the Netherlands. We build simulations that help organisations explore how different people may experience a changing place, service or policy.

A small simulation research team

Built around
a question.

What changes when real people encounter a plan built on assumptions about them?

We make those assumptions visible in models that partners can explore, question and compare. Our work currently focuses on public spaces and society simulations.

Each project begins with a specific decision, the available evidence and a clear idea of what must still be checked in the real world.

What you can hold us to

Visible assumptions

A finding should say what it rests on. Public evidence, an assumption and a simulated outcome are different things.

A real comparison

We compare alternatives against a baseline, and ask whether a simpler method answers the question just as well.

Room to be wrong

A model that fails its check is a research result. We report it rather than turn it into a success story.

The work is research. Simulated agents are not substitutes for real people. The website experiments are explanatory demonstrations, not validated findings or reproductions of the full research systems.

Let’s start with
your situation.

One decision and a short email are enough to begin.
